The picture I took in Gunnevi last week was published in my newspaper yesterday, every week we have the middle spread publishing one great image, from Sweden or abroad. The short texts are mostly written by Ulf Törnberg who does this super.

Ulf wrote;

What is Swedish summer? Light evening sky? A spruce silhouette? Caravan? A birch? Good old Volvo? Swedish girl? A clear glass bottle grabbed by a boys hand? Young people kissing on a summer night, on the way to the dance late in the midsummer’s evening? Yes, among others. And suddenly everything can be realigned in a parking lot at Gunnevi outside Arvika.

Sydsvenskans Åsa Sjöström captured this moment, associated with the photo project Scandinavian Moments in which a number of Scandinavian photographers portray Scandinavia.
